Muay Laos or Rum Muay Laos
Muay Laos is one kind of Muay Thai Boran from in Nortern East of Thailand including Laos country. Sometimes we called Muay Laos in the name of Muay Lark Hang. (Pull the tail.) People training Muay Laos for protect themselves from opponents. In the mean while, they still need them Muay look beautiful. So they think about “Rum” or “Thai dancing”.Sometimes, we call “Rum Muay Laos”. Muay Laos student also believe in magic.They think it can help them to have more power.
Nowadays, Muay Laos in Thailand still have in Sakolnakorn province. In any festival, people setup Muay Boran parade. Dress up in Muay Ancient style.
They also have tattoos about tiger, Kruda or Snake in body parts and they have tattoos about plant on the legs in believe to have more powerful and loved by the girls. They also have Tra Krud and Mong Kol in believe these both items will help them safe.
Before Rum Muay Laos is adapt from animal movement. This is beautiful combination between arts and fighting arts.
In the present days, Rum Muay Laos have three step.
1. Muay Boran parade
2. Wai Kru or Respect to the teachers.
3. Fighting
